A telemedicine appointment is a virtual visit with your doctor using a secure two way audiovisual connection.  

Telemedicine offers many advantages:  You can have a consultation with your doctor without having to leave your home or work.  Obviously this helps to limit your potential exposure to and transmission of any infectious diseases including COVID-19.  This is quicker and easier and eliminates travel time to and from your doctor's office.  Occasionally telemedicine visits can be scheduled outside of normal office hours. 

The disadvantage is that physical examination is very limited during a telemedicine visit.  Even if we are able to do a telemedicine visit, it is not a substitute for every visit and you will need to be seen in the office at times.  

Requirements: you will need a smart phone, tablet, or computer that has both a camera and a microphone. If you are using an iOS device you will need to use Safari as a browser.
